WOODSTOCK HOUSE
Our client had lived in this Arts and Crafts house in Bedford Park for twenty years while it gradually deteriorated. By the time the
last ring on the 1970's gas hob given up, she had decided to virtually start again. She was particularly keen to improve the connection
between the house and the garden which had considerably matured under her care. As part of the initial phase we replaced the original
scullery with a top lit 'garden room', about three times the size, which opened out onto the garden on two sides. This was part of a new
kitchen/dining room, and offered a generous living area which was considerably more light and spacious than the attic where she had been
camping for the seven months it took to carry out the work. |
